Airport Transfers:
ARTURO, TRANSLOBO CO. - Website:
http://translobo.blogspot.com/; ARTURO’S E-mail:
translobo@gmail.com
This year (2010) we will be using Arturo’s round trip transfer service, since
Baja Ground Services who we have used for three years, only provides one way
service. If they ever resolve their issues with the taxi situation, we would
then reconsider them. While we have zero complaints with Baja Ground Services,
we like the idea of being comfortable and confident with a pre set pick up
schedule when it comes time to leave and return to the airport.
Arturo’s service is round trip and is $150 cash total for a suburban to your
hotel. He also provides the liquid refreshment of your choice when he picks you
up at the airport.
Two in our group used him last year for the airport transfer and a day trip to
Todos Santos, and were very happy with his service. He is also preferred by many
on the Trip Advisor forum.
The only negative is as Arturo's popularity increases, his availability
decreases. Book early to secure his services!
BAJA GROUND SERVICES, INC – Currently (2010) their service is only one-way
(from the airport to your hotel). Fill this out this
online
reservation form and e-mail it in. Or, you can call their 800-352-4990
number and give them your credit card information. They then send you a
confirmation voucher by regular mail to give to the driver when you arrive.
After you go through Customs and leave the terminal, look for an BGS
agent/driver wearing a light BLUE polo shirt and
KHAKI pants. He will also be holding a sign with
YOUR NAME on it. Your vehicle will be an air conditioned van. Our quoted price
was $37.50 (2009) per person round trip, half price for children under 12, plus
a 3% non-refundable processing fee for a shared van shuttle service.
If you pre-booked your ground transportation service, after you have your
luggage and go through the last door and are in the hallway with the timeshare
sharks, take a RIGHT at the first opportunity to go outside. This will take you
to the area where your ground transportation will be waiting for you, holding a
sign with your name on it.
IMPORTANT REMINDER: Put the MEXICAN TOURISM
PERMIT that you received on the plane and that was stamped by Customs, somewhere safe. You'll need to
present it at the airport on your way out of Cabo San Lucas.
