Key West Breakfast
Galleon Deli and Tiki Bar - Breakfast service starts at 6:30 a.m. and runs $5 - $10.00. One of the best deals for breakfast in Key West with the best location, overlooking a section of the harbor. Order inside, grab a cup of coffee, then go outside to enjoy the view and the breeze; servers will bring your order out when it's ready. AKA the “Secret Place” since it's under the tourist radar.
Hot Tin Roof - breakfast served 7:30 - 11:30 a.m. Latin,
Caribbean and South Florida cooking combined to create “conch-fusion”.
Postcard-quality views of Key West Harbor from the outdoor terrace.
Menus.
Martin's - 416 Apelrouth Lane. Only serves breakfast on Sunday,
from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Possibly the best Eggs Benedict in
Key West and the open-faced sandwiches are superb. Order the Black
Forest Eggs Benedict with a glass of wine. Wonderful restaurant
with outdoor garden and indoor seating. Excellent chef who bakes
the bread each morning. They start at 10:00 a.m. and you can make
reservations the day before but in my expirience you don't have to.
Serve eight or ten different varieties of Eggs Benedict. The only
slight drawback is that they only serve beer, wine or Orange Blossoms
with brunch. Menu without
prices.
Pepe’s Café - 806 Caroline Street. Sit in the garden and marvel at
the lighting fixtures. Opens at 7:30 a.m. and breakfast will cost from
about $10 -$20.00. Regular menu items and daily specials. Try the
a chili omelet – an omelet with black beans and onions folded inside,
and served with one of their home-made breads. Good Bloody Marys
and $1.00 or $2.00 drafts. Simple, but generous presentations.
They squeeze all of their own juices for cocktails.
Rooftop Café - Breakfast starts at 9:30 a.m. and will cost between $7.00 and $18.00. Try the Chesapeake Bay Eggs (poached eggs with a shrimp and crab cake on an English muffin with Hollandaise) or the Lobster Benedict. Menu.
Schooner Wharf Bar - despite their Breakfast Club motto "If it ain't beer, it ain't breakfast", there is a great breakfast menu available.
Turtle Kraals - at the Key West Bight. Service starts at 7:00 a.m. Good selection of eggs, omelets, pancakes, etc. plus daily breakfast specials. Menu.
Two Friends Patio Restaurant – breakfast served 8 a.m. to noon. Menu.
Conch Flyer - in the Key West airport. Great place to have your
first ice cold Bud in Key West plus very good Bloody Marys. Food
is very good, the service is good and the prices are affordable.
It’s perfectly okay to drink beer with your ham and eggs at 6 a.m.
